         दोस्तों नेशनल सर्विस स्कीम की स्थापना 24 सितंबर 1969  को महात्मा गांधी के जन्मदिन के अवसर पर डॉ० वी० के० आर०वी०  राव के द्वारा की गई थी।
एन एस एस को 33 यूनिवर्सिटी से 40000 वॉलिंटियर्स ने जॉइन किया था।
एनएसएस का हेड क्वार्टर नई दिल्ली में है।

Aim of NSS

1.   To understand the community in which they work.
2. to understand themselves in relation to their community.
3. to gain skills in mobilizing community participation.
4. to identify the needs and problems of the community and involve them in problem solving process.
5. To develop among themselves a sense of social and civic responsibility.
6. to utilise their knowledge in finding practical solution to individual and community problem.
7. To acquire leadership qualities and democratic attitude.

Seven day Camp.

NSS volunteer को 7 दिनों का कैंप लगाना होता है और यह  कैंप कंपलसरी होता है।
इन 7 दिनों के अंदर आपको किसी एक पर्टिकुलर गांव में जाना होता है तथा उस गांव की सेवा करनी होती है जैसे कि गांव में सफाई करना गांव के लोगों को उनके अधिकारों के प्रति सचेत करना।गांव के लोगों को ट्रैफिक नियम, जल प्रदूषण, वायु प्रदूषण इत्यादि के बारे में बताना।

दोस्तों मेडिकल कैंप्स मैं आपको फर्स्ट एड के बारे में बेसिक जानकारी दी जाएंगी।
इस कैंप के अंतर्गत अगर किसी जरूरतमंद को मेडिकल सुविधा की जरूरत है तो आप किस तरह से समय पर उसकी सहायता कर सकते हैं इत्यादि आपको मेडिकल कैंप में सिखाया जाएगा।

Nukkad Natak 

नुक्कड़ नाटक के अंतर्गत एनएसएस के वालंटियर समाज में हो रही छोटी-छोटी समस्याओं को नाटक के जरिए  उच्च स्तर पर उठाते हैं। जिससे कि उनका जल्दी से समाधान हो सके, और  छोटी  समस्या बड़ी समस्या का रूप न ले ले ।

ब्लड डोनेशन कैंप के अंतर्गत वॉलिंटियर्स को ब्लड डोनेट करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया जाता है  .

Career opportunity from NSS.

             दोस्तों जैसा कि नेशनल कैडेट कॉर्प्स और भारतीय स्काउट एंड गाइड्स मैं आपको करियर अपॉर्चुनिटी के बेनिफिट्स मिलते हैं वैसा एनएसएस में  नहीं है। एनसीसी मैं आपको डिफेंस में करियर बनाने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया जाता है तथा डिफेंस फोर्सेस में एनसीसी कैडेट्स के लिए पहले से  सीट रिजर्व होती है दूसरी ओर स्काउट एंड गाइड्स के वॉलिंटियर्स को  इंटरनेशनल अपॉर्चुनिटी करियर और भारतीय रेलवे में स्काउट एंड गाइड्स के लिए कुछ सीट रिजर्व होती है पर एनएसएस में ऐसा नहीं होता।

HOW TO JOIN NSS

दोस्तों अगर आपको एनएसएस को ज्वाइन करना है तो आपके स्कूल या कॉलेज के एनएसएस ऑफिस में जाकर आपको एक फॉर्म को फिल अप करना है।
एनएसएस को जॉइन करने के लिए एनसीसी की तरह कोई ज्यादा क्राइटेरिया नहीं होता सिर्फ आपको फॉर्म फिल अप करना होता है और आपका एनएसएस में रजिस्ट्रेशन हो जाता है।

BENEFITS OF NCC

INCENTIVES BY THE CENTRAL GOVT.
 Concession in employment 
                               
(a) FOR 'C' Certificate Holders. Specific vacancies in the Army, Airforce and Navy are reserved for NCC  'C' Certificate holders. 
 For Officers there is no written exam in U.P.S.C.  CDS (Combine Defence Service) and N.D.A.
After application , the cadet is called directly for SSB interview,which                                                  he/she has to clear before selection as per the merit list . 

         The  following vacancies are reserved by each service as officers.

  (1) ARMY . 64 Seats per year at I.M.A. and 100 seats per year at O.T.A.

2)NAVY. (   06 seats per course through Navel S.S.B.

  (3)AIR FORCE. 10% vacancies in all course through Air force S.S.B.
(b) 5-10% Bonus marks for recruitment in ranks in Army, Navy And Air force.
(c) Bonus marks in Para Military Forces and department of Telecommunication.
(d) Can apply for gazetted post in CRPF if third division degree held by the cadet.
(e) Preference in state services and also in private sectors.
(f) Employment within NCC as whole time lady officer, Girl cadet instructor, aero and ship modeling instructor.   
(g) Admission for higher education. For NCC cadet's  some sits reserve in higher education and  bonus mark is give to NCC cadet for higher education admission criteria for bonus mark is different for different state.

 (h) NCC Games ; Cash award to team and individual for excellence.
(f) Rifle, SLR, Stan Gun, 2" Mortar, Grenade, pistol,training with first hand exposure of weapon   training

     (i) For ORs, Sailors, Airmen; 5% to 10% bonus marks awarded  for recruitment.

       If a candidate wants to join the Defence  as a Solider (siphai) GD/Clerk/Store keeper/Tech. and tradesman category  then he will be eligible for the awarded of following benefits.


'A' cert.             05 Marks (GD)         05 marks (clerk, store keeper,tech.)

'B' cert               10 Marks (GD)        10 marks (clerk,tech,store keeper)

'C' cert holder will be exempted for written exam for GD.
'C' cert, holder who have participated in republic day parade will be exempted from CEE for solider clerk/store keeper/ solider tech.  and tradesman cat. and will be awarded 100% marks in lieu of CEE.

Scholarships.

(A). cadet welfare society (cws). CWS award scholarship of 6000 rupees per cadet for 1000 NCC cadet every year.

(B). Sahara scholarship. Sahara gives 30000 RS for professional and other category and 12000 RS. /- for SD/ SW.

Youth exchange programme YEP.

                                                                                    एनसीसी यूथ एक्सचेंज प्रोग्राम रन करती है। यूथ एक्सचेंज प्रोग्राम में जिस कंट्री के साथ हमारे देश के  रिलेशन अच्छे हैं, जैसे साउथ ईस्ट एशिया की कंट्री, रशिया,ऑस्ट्रेलिया, कज़ाख़िस्तान,नेपाल भूटान श्रीलंका बर्मा आदि । उनके देश के कैडेट्स हमारे देश में आते हैं उनकी कंट्री को रिप्रेजेंट करने और हमारी कंट्री के कैडेट उनके कंट्री में जाते हैं हमारी कंट्री को रिप्रेजेंट करने के लिए यानी इंडिया को रिप्रेजेंट करने के लिए । वैसे तो सभी कैडेट्स यूनिफॉर्म पहनते है,  पर जो कैडेट यूथ एक्सचेंज प्रोग्राम में दूसरे देश  को विजिट करते हैं वे  एक अलग ही यूनिफॉर्म को डालते हैं। जिस पर इंडिया का टैग लगा होता है । कितने प्राऊड की बात है मुझे तो यह बताते ही प्राउड फील हो रहा है तो सोचिए उस यूनिफॉर्म को पहनने वाले को कितना प्राउड फील होता होगा। और हम ऐसे ही नहीं किसी कंट्री में अपने देश को  रिप्रेजेंट करते हैं यह सब ऑफीशियली होता है। और मिनिस्ट्री ऑफ डिफेंस का सारा खर्चा उठाता है। वहां पर जो इंपॉर्टेंट पर्सन होते हैं उन से हम मिलते हैं वहां के डिफेंस मिनिस्टर वहां के जनरल के प्राइम मिनिस्टर प्रेसिडेंट से मिलने का मौका मिलता है । एनसीसी जो यह इंटरनेशनल लेवल का एक्सपीरियंस करवाती है। मुझे नहीं लगता कि कोई और Organisation भी ऐसा एक्सपीरियंस करवा सकती है।
